Job Description
My client is one of the largest quantitative trading firms in the world with a growing centralized AI and Machine Learning division.
They are looking for their first Principal AI/LLM Engineer to join the team that owns all LLM efforts within the fund.

Requirements
Expertlevel experience and knowledge developing LLMs using Transformer Models from beginning to end.
Willingness to work in Miami Florida (5 days a week).
Experience with information retrieval systems semantic search etc.
PhD or Masters in a related field.
Financerelated domain experience is not needed but interest in trading and finance is helpful.
Strong interest leveraging AI to own and make a large impact in a quantitative finance setting.
Compensation
$800000 $Total Compensation depending on level of experience.

Whats the Job
As the Principal AI/LLM Engineer in their fastgrowing AI group you will be part of a group that owns AI and all of the related products across the entire quantitative fund. Your AI work will be used to create trading strategies and insights to power their quantitative research and trading. Their team is experimenting using large language models deep neural networks transformers and advanced prompt engineering methods such as GPT4 to further their model development.
You will be using core transformer models to develop the LLMs from beginning to end. This role requires true ownership of your work across all stages of development and you will experience real impact with your work.
They are looking for someone with excellent communication skills. You will be working closely with various stakeholders including Quantitative Researchers and Quantitative Developers to understand their needs and translate them into working models and products to power their initiatives.
They are investing heavily into this area and are attracting many of the worlds top AI talent to their team so you will be surrounded by great talent. They are also committed to investing heavily into the tools and infrastructure needed to be a leader in this space.
Location
This role requires you to work out of their Miami office five days a week. They do cover relocation expenses if you are looking to move.
