The Hartford School District is seeking a registered/licensed Occupational Therapist with assistive technology pediatric and young adult experience to work within the Hartford School Districts Regional Alternative Program and the Hartford Autism Regional Program. The therapist will provide direct services as well as consultation services with the educational teams. The OT will work with students of all age ranges on motor skills self regulation sensory modulation self care activities of daily living (ADL) assistive technology application and visual perceptual skill development. Our ideal candidate will have their ATP or a Graduate Certification in Assistive Technology experience working extensively within the educational setting and have an understanding of school based accommodations and environmental modification including school tools that promote student independence within the classroom setting and regulation techniques that can be applied in group settings. Any Occupational Therapist with interest in expanding their knowledge and expertise in these areas who is dedicated to continuing education and has a strong work ethic to meet students needs is encouraged to apply.
