The Biobehavioural Addictions and Concurrent Disorders Research Laboratory (BACDRL) in the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) is seeking a casual Research Assistant 2. The incumbent will report to the Research Manager and join a highly productive CIHRfunded clinical research team investigating psychosis mood disorders and substance use through a multimodal approach including brain stimulation and neurocognitive assessments with a focus on cannabis abstinence studies to probe the role of cannabis and cannabinoids in major depressive disorder.
Responsibilities will include recruiting and scheduling human participants assistance with study visits and data entry. The candidate may also be required to assist with other administrative duties as necessary. This position is located at 33 Ursula Franklin Street Site and will require some travel to 1001 Queen Street West.
The successful candidate will have at minimum three (3) years of Community College with a background in health or social sciences. A Bachelors degree is preferred combined with a minimum of one year experience in patientorientated mental health/addictions/concurrent disorders research. Knowledge and experience with REDCap is an asset. Demonstrated proficiency in various PC hardware and software including Microsoft Office standard applications (Word PowerPoint Excel) is also required. Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills are required as is the ability to work effectively in a dynamic interprofessional team environment.
