Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity
As Research Manager (International) you will work in partnership with senior leadership to enable the development of global research partnerships serving as the primary interface between the University of Auckland and its international collaborators. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Universitys global profile fostering strategic research collaborations and strengthening international connectivity. Working closely with our research community you will champion the visibility of our key research strengths support the design of new initiatives to expand global engagement and develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international government departments research agencies and funding bodies. With your expertise researchers will be supported to identify emerging funding opportunities explore strategic partnerships and position their work on the global stage.
A key aspect of this role is to lead the implementation of the Universitys Global Research Engagement Strategy driving our participation in flagship international funding programmes such as Horizon Europe and the Wellcome Trust while identifying emerging funding streams and monitoring the global research landscape. Additionally you will oversee the design and implementation of key initiatives including the Global Research Engagement Fund and other targeted seed funding programmes to support and expand these activities with strategic international partners.

This is a fulltime 37.5 hours per week permanent role.. The salary range for this role is $96800 $119500 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
