Job Description
Vimeo is looking for a Sr. Backend Developer to join our AI Applications team.
The AI applications team is working as an end to end value stream function delivering product solutions from the very beginning of an idea towards the final user experience where the main expertise is around products that require AI abilities.
You will be responsible for developing iterating and maintaining Vimeos AI based user experiences on a variety of destinations on the Vimeo platform. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team of Product engineers AI researchers data scientists and Machine learning (ML) Engineers you will work with the most recent AI tools and abilities in the industry and will take a key role in shaping how those will make an impact on vimeo customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design frontend and ML engineers to develop and implement new features for Vimeos platform.
- Build scalable services and applications to support Vimeos largescale platform.
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented code. Actively participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Work in a crossfunctional team closely collaborating with frontend backend and AI developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of frontend features.
- Identify opportunities to improve our architecture and tooling across multiple levels of the stack.
- Continuously research and explore new technologies tools and techniques to stay uptodate with the latest trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of technical experience working on consumerfacing products
- Experience developing services at scale with Python or Go
- Experience with Developing microservices working with databases and APIs
- Proficiency with cloud based services and ability to work independently with cloud platforms (AWS GCP)
- Great communication skills and a proven record of working across disciplines
