An electrical engineering firm is seeking the services of an ECI Engineer.
Duties & Responsibilities
As an EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for the design installation maintenance and optimization of electrical control and instrumentation systems. This includes ensuring the reliability safety and efficiency of electrical and automation systems across a range of sectors. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and take a handson approach to troubleshooting commissioning and improving systems in both the field and office environment. Key Responsibilities:
Design and specify electrical control and instrumentation systems for new and existing projects.
Provide technical expertise and support during the commissioning installation and testing phases of projects.
Conduct detailed analysis of control and instrumentation systems identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Ensure that systems meet all safety regulatory and industry standards.
Develop electrical schematics control diagrams and instrumentation specifications.
Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for electrical and control systems.
Lead and supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical control and instrumentation systems onsite.
Collaborate with Project Managers and other Engineers to ensure timely project delivery within budget and to specifications.
Prepare documentation reports and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with quality standards health & safety and environmental regulations.
Provide technical support and training to Junior Engineers and Operators.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Control Engineering Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
Experience in electrical control and instrumentation engineering within industrial or commercial sectors.
Strong knowledge of control systems instrumentation and electrical design principles.
Experience with PLCs SCADA systems and automation technologies.
Proficiency in electrical design software and control systems (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN MATLAB or similar).
Familiarity with electrical standards (e.g. IEC NEC IEEE) and control/instrumentation standards.
Handson experience with commissioning testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
