Job Description
An electrical engineering firm is seeking the services of an ECI Engineer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify electrical control and instrumentation systems for new and existing projects.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the commissioning installation and testing phases of projects.
- Conduct detailed analysis of control and instrumentation systems identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Ensure that systems meet all safety regulatory and industry standards.
- Develop electrical schematics control diagrams and instrumentation specifications.
- Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for electrical and control systems.
- Lead and supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical control and instrumentation systems onsite.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other Engineers to ensure timely project delivery within budget and to specifications.
- Prepare documentation reports and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards health & safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to Junior Engineers and Operators.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Control Engineering Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in electrical control and instrumentation engineering within industrial or commercial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of control systems instrumentation and electrical design principles.
- Experience with PLCs SCADA systems and automation technologies.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and control systems (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN MATLAB or similar).
- Familiarity with electrical standards (e.g. IEC NEC IEEE) and control/instrumentation standards.
- Handson experience with commissioning testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
