Our Sales Associates at LaZBoy of Sarasota FL are paid salary plus commission on written sales with NO COMMISSION CAP. On average our Interior Designers earn over $45000/year with top performers earning over $70k.

Our Interior Designers come from a variety of design backgrounds interior design fashion and fashion merchandising visual merchandisers kitchen design fine arts and much more. We have the BEST customers in the world and are very selective about who we trust to care for them.
Sales Compensation
Competitive earnings potential:UNCAPPED commissions on WRITTEN Sales
Pay: training pay $20 per hour 3 weeks
After training end: $26000 per year plus commissions 3.5% on LaZBoy Design Sales 2% on Store Sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
- Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals annual operating benchmarks and personal objectives.
- Promote the LaZBoy InHome Design program to draft potential design solutions present customized portfolio presentations tailored to the clients requirements and preferences.
- Translate the clients lifestyle taste and budget into actionable design recommendations.
- Schedule and conduct inhome consultations to understand clients unique needs preferences and vision for their space.
- Create design concepts and digital presentation with finish selections furnishings and fixtures.
- Provide coaching training and support to sales teams to improve design culture product knowledge sales techniques strategies and overall inhome design performance.
- Collaborate with support teams to ensure flawless execution of operational excellence.
- Ensure proper execution of all existing and new systems and administrative procedures.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position holds significant influence over the stores financial health team morale and development operational efficiency and the overall customer experience and reputation in the community. This position reports to the Store Manager of the assigned location with indirect influence of sales team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: bachelors degree; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 23 years in interior design with a residential emphasis.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite computeraided design programs financial understanding adept interpersonal communication analytical abilities goal orientation team management and customer service.
- Other: Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs to include evenings weekends and holidays
- Valid Drivers License
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Design Certification
- Advanced interpersonal presentation and communication skills business acumen entrepreneurial spirit & experience in building effective relationships.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate motor vehicle.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Nearly continuous use of repetitive hand motions hearing and listening.
- Often required to sit walk bend and stoop
- Subject to inside environmental conditions
- Ability to pass background and drug screen.
