Job Title: Childrens Residential Care Worker Therapeutic (Driving Essential)
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: 29165.50 onboarding salary
Working Hours: Fulltime (165 hours per month)
Shift Pattern: 48hour shifts (on occasion 24 hours) inclusive of sleepins with rest days in between
Number of Sleeps Required: 8 to 10
Service: Therapeutic Childrens Home
Service Users: Children aged 617 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) trauma and neglect backgrounds
Qualifications Required: Enrolled on or completed Level 4 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce or Level 3 in Residential Childcare

The position is for a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Carer responsible for working oneonone with children aged 617 who have experienced trauma neglect and emotional challenges. This individual will help create a safe nurturing environment and support these children in their healing and development. A strong passion for improving childrens lives along with excellent relationshipbuilding skills is crucial.
Flexibility is essential in this role as it involves working as part of a care team available 365 days a year. The role includes participation in educational social and leisure activities with the children including trips and family visits. Rotas are provided with six weeks notice to maintain a positive worklife balance but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the children.
