Job Description

Horizon School Division is committed to engaging and empowering all learners and prioritizes strong instruction response to intervention and wellness.

Temporary PT Family Connections Summer Camp Camp Leader

Approximately 30 hours/week MondayThursday 9:00 a.m.3:30 p.m and Friday 9:00 a.m.12:00 p.m.

Horizon School Divisions Mental Health Capacity Building Program will be running summer camps in Taber and rural areas for the months of July and August. The summer camps in Taber are open for children ages 613 and will provide a wide range of activities for children. We require a dynamic individual to assist our Wellness Coaches in leading and organizing summer camps getting supplies and communicating with families.

  • You must be 18 years and older and have experience working with children.
  • We require a dynamic relational and empathetic individual.
  • The position requires teamwork exemplary communication and ability to collaborate and build relationships with others.
  • Previous experience working with children in any setting.
  • First Aid and CPR training.

Job duties include:

  • Collaboration with the Family Connections Wellness Coaches in planning activities and delivery support
  • Experience working with children
  • Development and delivery of camp experiences that are fun engaging and reflect Horizon School Divisions commitment to equity diversity and inclusion
  • Preparation and sourcing of required supplies within a given budget
  • Team collaboration in the supervision of campers during structured and unstructured activities
  • Collection and maintenance of records
  • Communication with parents and team members

The position commences June 23 2025 and concludes August 22 2025.
