Directs activities of the clinical staff of the Departments of Computed Tomography (CT) at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville in the absence of the CT supervisor. Ensures timely performance and quality of imaging examinations. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept caring and respect and which reflects the Mayo Clinic and St. Lukes Hospital mission and philosophy. Develops maintains and improves service to its customers 24 hours a day. Reviews candidates under the guidance of the supervisor Radiology Director and coordinator. Guides develops and maintains a staff that will provide this service. Must gain selfimprovement develop continuous improvement and display ability to work through and create change.
Attended a two year accredited radiography program. Current ARRT registration in Radiography and/or registry eligible .Current Florida Licensure in Radiography. Three to five years experience as Radiologic Technologist is required.
Additional Qualifications
Three to five years CT experience preferred. Management experience preferred. Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology radiological principals and practices as well as the ability to obtain high quality images required. Note: The degree of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the amount of expertise in the unit/department. In some circumstances it may be acceptable to hire a new graduate or a person without experience if there is not adequate experience and expertise in the unit/department.
License or Certification
License in Radiology within appropriate state; American Registry of Radiologic technology(ARRT). Registry of Radiologic Technologist in computed Technology (CT). Basic Life support (BLS required.
