About the Position: The Workplace Coaching Manager connects and cultivates a network of engaged and highperforming leaders who operate with courage and civility. Collaborates with HR and the Organizational Development and Learning (ODL) team to facilitate the growth of a coaching culture at the university. Through coaching and related tools the Workplace Coaching Manager supports leaders across George Mason to manage change effectively.
This position manages Masons Workplace Coaching Program including the partnership with the Center for the Advancement of WellBeings certificate program and the Executive Coaching component of the Leadership Legacy Program.
This position serves as a Workplace Coach specifically providing internal executive coaching for senior leaders and those in complex change interpersonal leadership or organizational situations. |
Responsibilities: - Manages the universitys internal workplace coaching program to include: assessing and maintaining the vision and goals for the program; program marketing and outreach; coach matching; managing the internal coaching community of practice; developing onboarding and training for Masons mentor and partner coaches; planning evaluation and communication with participants facilitators and applicants; and developing a robust evaluation and ROI measurement process and reporting meaningful metrics.
- Partners with HR and Legal colleagues to ensure the program and its documentation follow all related policies. Ensures compliance with ICFs ethics guidance.
- At the direction of the AVP Talent Development implements a vision and roadmap for developing a coaching culture in alignment with ODLs deliberatively developmental approach.
- Grows a culturally competent coaching program that is responsive to Masons diverse faculty and staff community.
- Develops implements and maintains an onboarding training and professional development strategy and process for internal support partner program (informal coaching).
- In collaboration with the ODL Program Manager supports all coaching logistics for the Leadership Legacy Program.
- In partnership with the ODL team assigns and manages EQI and EQI 360 assessments for program participants and units; delivers coaching around EQI results.
- Supports and partners with ODL and Employee Relations teams where appropriate to support individual and team solutions for workplace issues.
- Guides individuals and teams on how to effectively address and resolve workplace concerns.
- Serves as a coach to assigned coaches.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the AVP Talent Development.

Required Qualifications: - Masters degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Experience managing internal coaching programs;
- Significant experience as a certified coach;
- Higher education experience;
- Knowledge and understanding of principles theory and practice of coaching and organizational development; and
- Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or above credential from International Coaches Federation.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience coaching leaders through change;
- Experience facilitating training with adults on topics such as emotional intelligence strengths philosophy and other coaching/communication subjects;
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems creatively and collaboratively with others as well as using independent judgment to select proper courses of action;
- Ability to observe listen and build relationships exercising a caring competent and optimistic approach to people and problems;
- Ability to handle complex projects of varying scopes often requiring innovation and research into new ideas and practices;
- Ability to build collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationships with people of different backgrounds;
- Ability to exercise flexibility within tight deadlines and shifting priorities;
- Seeks considers and communicates diverse perspectives and ideas;
- Certified in EQI assessment; and
- Change Management certification.
