Established in 1963 Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast prestressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders wall panels complete parking garages hollowcore slabs precast pile and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70000 . in Saint John New Brunswick and 50000 . in Bedford Nova Scotia.
In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components Strescon also operates a 32000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems such as pipe manholes and catchbasins.
Job Summary
The Plant EngineerInTrainingwill assist indirecting operations within the plant including overall planning and project execution ensuring schedules are kept and safety processes are adhered to. This role will provide direction to improve the organizations overall production plans systems and procedures. The Plant EngineerInTraining is responsible for analyzing operations designing workflows and production processes reducing inefficiency and ensuring final products meet established quality standards. This position requires a solid understanding of operations combined with the desire to develop and maintain relationships within a diverse workforce.
As training for this position it is expected that a period of time will be spent in various departments (Project Management Quality Control etc.) to gain an understanding of operational procedures and processes.
