    Our Next HR Generalist

    We have an exciting new opportunity for an HR Generalist to join our team! This role will be a key member of Okanes Human Resources Business Unit providing working knowledge and support in all aspects of HR. This fulltime role will be out of our Brisbane office.



    Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

    • Administer daytoday HR operations and support the implementation of Oceania HR initiatives.
    • Lead Oceania full cycle recruitment including onboarding and offboarding.
    • Lead employee relations matters including performance management and conflict resolution support.
    • Maintain HRIS LMS records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Assist with training and development programs.
    • Be the goto for personnel inquiries support and questions for Oceania team.
    • Implement retention and engagement tactics.
    • Research advise and develop HR policies that are in alignment with local compliance requirements and Okanes vision.
    • Support annual market review research and provide recommendations to Management.
    • Actively participate to company DEI committee and social committees.
    • Act as key member of Reconciliation Action Plan for Oceania.
    • Must integrate health safety and environmental considerations into every aspect of their work. This includes but is not limited to completing hazard assessments and other HSE project requirements following internal procedures and policies participating in safety training and promoting Okane safety culture.


    Job Requirements

    • Acts with honesty integrity and personal ethics demonstrates personal and professional accountability.
    • Competent written and oral communication skills and comfortable working autonomously.
    • Strong knowledge of HR Australian employment legislation and Fairwork Requirements.
    • Proven experience working in HR in a similar role experience working in professional services or mining is considered an asset.
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships and trust with employees at all levels.
    • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    • Selfstarter and willing to be innovative in new solutions or search for efficiencies.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
