Job Description Summary:
The Technician C (Elec/Mech Area) assists skilled workers in the performance of skilled and semiskilled laboratory work. The technician C works under close supervision and performs cleaning and maintenance of laboratory and equipment requiring skilled or semiskilled knowledge. With adequate training and close supervision will perform work of an essentially repetitive nature for the production of deliverable hardware. The work involves manual skills and the operation of simple automated or semiautomated equipment. The technician C will carefully document their own work consistent with work unit policy in hand written form or using common computerbased software under close supervision.Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
Performs cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment with close supervision.
Operates simple equipment in the production of hardware using manual skills under close supervision.
Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with close supervision.
Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions at the discretion of the supervisor.
Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor.
Skills/Abilities
Able to communicate written and verbally.
Able to use Microsoft office applications.
Able to perform manual labor and operate automated and semiautomated equipment.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
Requires at least six months of applicable experience.
