Job Description
Summary:
This position functions as an integral member of the athletic health care team in themiddle school by providing athletic training coverage during games and practices. In addition the athletic trainer works with studentathletes who are involved with athletic teamsin the prevention and diagnosis of injuries and illnesses the recognition evaluation and immediate care of injuries and illnesses the rehabilitation and reconditioning of injuries and illnesses and the administration of the healthcare system. This position works toward the safe return of the studentathlete to be able to participate in practices and games following a sportsrelated injury. Additionally this position completes documentation on the prevention treatment rehabilitation and reconditioning of studentathletes as well as communicating with school administrators coaches and parents regarding a studentathletes participation status.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current License to Practice As An Athletic Trainer (Commonwealth of Virginia or another state) and/or hold an Athletic Trainer certification through the BOC.
Pay Rate:
Athletic Trainer salary scale (credit is based on years of fulltime experience in a related position)
Contract:
Full time / 11 months / 220 days
Start Date:
This position is effectivefor theschool year. Applicants for theschool year will also be considered.
