We are seeking an energetic selfmotivated Cloud Operations Administrator & Automation Specialist to join our team of highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to accelerating the adoption of cloud across Intelex.
As part of our team you would be contributing to a communitydriven project focused on removing roadblocks and empowering teamsdeveloping solutions that accelerate cloud implementations simplify adherence to security standards promote best practices and drive automation at scale.
This is a remote role based in Toronto.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Handson experience monitoring managing and maintaining high availability web systems (Windows and Linux) as a System Administrator Engineer/Cloud Operations Administrator.
Serve as an Automation Specialist identifying repetitive tasks and processes that can be automated and delivering scalable solutions using industrystandard tools and scripting languages.
Follow and champion ITIL Best Practices and Standards.
Maintain data backups and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Solid understanding of networking (VNET Subnet Private Link VNET Peering).
Work with Networking certificates OAuth AzureAD ASE ASP AKS Azure Apps Load Balancers Application Gateway Firewall API Management SQL Server NGINX Azure Databases.
Leverage industry standard tools including: DataDog New Relic Log Analytics Azure Monitor Application Insights etc. to ensure outstanding customer service.
Implement routine service requests with an expectation of creating automated workflows where applicable.
Supervise Windows Network and Infrastructure trends to ensure readiness for rapid growth.
Develop scripts for configuration infrastructure deployment and operational efficiency. Strong scripting knowledge required (Bash PowerShell Python).
Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Octopus Ansible Jenkins Azure DevOps).
Create infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts using Terraform ARM Templates CloudFormation or similar.
Advocate and implement automation best practices across infrastructure and cloud services.
Analyze logs (Application IIS System Security) using Event Viewer and log management tools.
Ensure secure practices (SSL Certificates Key Vault Secret Variables/Arguments).
AWS and Azure experience is preferred.
Stay current on emerging and existing cloud and automation technologies with a focus on Azure and AWS.
Organizational Alignment
Reports to the Manager Cloud Support.
Builds and manages relationships with multifunctional teams within the organization
Technical Proficiencies
Proficient in supervising and logging tools such as New Relic or Application
Insights or AppDynamics or DataDog.
Experience with maintenance and administration of Windows Linux Servers and Kubernetes.
Experience with automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell YAML JSON or similar.
Configuration management experience Ansible Terraform Azure
Automation Run book or similar.
Experience with SQL Server database maintenance and administration
(preferred).
Experience
5 Year of experience as a System Administrator
Have demonstrated ability supporting and building high availability
Windows/Linux servers. Emphasis on supporting the WISA stack (Windows/IIS/SQL Server(MS)/)
Have demonstrated previous experience with automating repetitive tasks (you will be asked in the interview of concrete examples).
3 years of experience working with cloud technologies including Azure AWS
1 years of experience working with container technology including docker and Kubernetes
Working within Scrum Kanban or Lean methodologies
Education
Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent experience.
