Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live onsite (meals and accommodation included) on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks.A typical shift schedule is any of the following:4 weeks on and 2 weeks off 3 weeks on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation ensuite or shared bathroom full meals WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from camp locations.
Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 1012 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply. Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.
Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcoholfree workplaces and some require preemployment drug and alcohol testing. All new staff are required to complete preemployment onboarding orientations.

Job Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years experience in a related field of work and preferably a camp catering environment
- 3 or more years experience in a managerial role
- Knowledge of Camp Manager Database programs and retailPoint of Sale systems
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communicationskills
- Strong decision making and delegation skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Officeapplications such as Outlook Excel and Word
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Team player and can provide support motivation andencouragement to others

The Camp Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall organization and efficient operation of LandSea small camp facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Technical/Operational
- Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and accuratemanner and submitted to the Operations Department as per the required timelines
- Daily submission of Camp Manager reports such as P&Lstatements commissary paperwork purchasing and receiving inventory andkitchen reports. Also update camp numbers to ensure adequate qualifiedemployees
- Ensure completion and accuracy of all camprelated employeepaperwork including staff change forms incident reports performancemanagement and evaluation forms WCB forms (injury reporting package) andtimesheets
- Oversee the cleaning of accommodation units and equipmentas per LandSea cleaning schedule and Food Safe standards
- Facilitate safety meetings (using the Daily Toolbox Meetingform) on the 1st and 15th of each month ensuring that all staff reportaccidents safety concerns and work hazards. Meeting minutes should beforwarded to LandSea Head Office
- Ensure all food items are properly stored served anddiscarded as per HACCP and Food Safe standards
- Counsel/coach employees as required and involve theCatering Recruitment team as necessary to provide direction on disciplinarymatters where appropriate
Financial / Fiscal
- Oversee portioning of food items in accordance to clientcontract and Landsea Policies Procedures and Best Practices to ensure foodcosts and product inventory are kept within budget
- Ensure meal sheets are filled out neatly and accurately andensure that the client and Chef sign each sheet
- Submit client and thirdparty meal sheets each weekincluding customer/client name Camp number and location with legal landdescription number
- Provide time sheets to the Head office each Sundayensuring staff initial hours worked
- Schedule inventory of all kitchen products (usually at theend of each week and each month end) including the submission of inventoryreports to the Head office within 3 days and a followup call to the Headoffice to verify receipt of the reports
- Inventory meat products to match the facility menu plan forthe week ensuring that each inventory sheet contains the followinginformation: weight measurement and size of items inventory date facilityname and location
General / Management
- Assist with information gathering as it relates to incidentinvestigation
- Facilitate daily meetings with Senior Camp Attendant andChef to discuss delegation of tasks to ensure required work is completed in atimely manner
- Maintain ongoing communication and working rapport with allLandSea customers/clients ensuring the customer or client is satisfied withoverall service cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities
- Oversee all camp operations including startups andshutdowns operational administrative and maintenance duties budgetaryresponsibilities and overall client satisfaction
- Assist in the training of catering staff in remote camplocations providing coaching mentoring and support to all employees
Physical Requirements
- Stand walk stoop kneel or crouch for long periods of time

- Use muscles to lift push pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Use hands to handle objects and tools
- Able to complete up to 12 hours shifts
