Job Description
As an Applied AI/ML Data Scientist at JPMorgan Chase within the Engineers Platform & Integrated Experience (EPIX) organization you are an integral part of an agile team (AI Experiments) that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading Generative AI products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
The Engineers Platform & Integrated Experience EPiX group at JPMorgan Chase aims to simplify and accelerate software development by building a unified platform that is Secure Reliable Integrated and Accelerates Delivery powered by AI to make JPMC the most attractive engineering destination for engineers.
Job responsibilities
- Combine vast data assets with cuttingedge AI including LLMs and Multimodal LLMs
- Bridge scientific research and software engineering requiring expertise in both domains
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams while leading the design and delivery of production architectures
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- PhD or MS in a quantitative discipline e.g. Computer Science Mathematics Statistics.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an individual contributor role in ML engineering.
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of statistics optimization and ML theory focusing on NLP
- Handson experience in implementing distributed/multithreaded/scalable applications (incl. frameworks such as Ray Horovod DeepSpeed etc.).
- Ability to understand and align with business expectations and write clear and concise OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
- Excellent grasp of computer science fundamentals
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages: Python Javascript
- Knowledge of Software Design Life Cycle processes CI/CD Git CVE patching.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information and ideas at all levels building trust with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical cloud Infrastructure experience
