This is a PartTime position No State Benefits.
Eastern State Hospital located in Williamsburg Virginia was founded in 1773 with a wellintentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. This state of the art campus situated on 500 acres consists of two patient care buildings with 300 patients and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) system and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
ESH invites applications for the position of CAFE ATTENDANT (F/S TECH I).
This position will prepare both staff and patient meals accurately and attractively using portion control maintaining acceptable standards of sanitation throughout the plating process and throughout the Cafe and other assigned areas of responsibility and any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must be available to work 29 hours per week on a rotating schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM which includes shifts on weekdays alternate weekends and some holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior food service experience.
Experience or familiarity with cash handling pointofsale (POS) cash register system and customer service best practices.
ServSafe Food Handlers Certification Certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire is required.

This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency pandemic or facility need. All ESH positions may be required to work different shifts to include nights weekends and holidays and/or overtime as requested in the event of an emergency.

This position is a hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
