Position Overview:

The Clerical Support Clerk ensures timely and accurate processing of data entry and support requests in accordance with published standards and controls. They will maintain databases by entering new and updated customer/account information according to established guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all transactions are completed in accordance with federal state and local regulations.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Follow customer privacy protection policies.
  • Use multiple computer applications to access information and process transactions.
  • Operate office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners facsimile machines voice mail systems and personal computers.
  • Review files records and databases to obtain information to complete tasks.
  • Type format proofread and edit correspondence and other documents.
  • Maintain and update filing inventory mailing and database systems either manually or using a computer.
  • Check source for accuracy and verify data when needed.
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete request.
  • Enter data from source into designated computer application database or files.
  • Perform daytoday activities that ensure effective account management of assigned accounts.
  • Perform reconciliations for assigned accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Work with customers in a proactive manner to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain a safe organized and clean environment.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by management.

Job Requirements:

  • A High School diploma is required
  • Previous payment posting experience is preferred
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred
  • Research and resolution management
  • Planning and organizing
  • Problem solving
  • Decision making skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • English/Spanish speaking is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
