TEGNA is seeking an experienced passionate and collaborative iOS Team Lead who aligns with our core engineering principles of transparency outcomedriven development crossfunctional collaboration accountability and continuous improvement. As a leader within our engineering team you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering industryleading highperformance iOS applications that engage millions of users. Youll lead a talented team of engineers influence technical strategy and ensure alignment with our guiding engineering principles.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the iOS engineering team fostering a culture aligned with our values of transparency collaboration and accountability.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers Designers and the rest of the engineering team embodying crossfunctional collaboration and shared ownership.
• Champion and reinforce technical excellence advocating for scalable maintainable and performant codebases.
• Proactively manage technical debt treating it as a strategic investment rather than an afterthought.
• Leverage continuous feedback from user data A/B testing and analytics tools to inform technical decisions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives driving the adoption of agile methodologies iterative development practices and effective team processes.

Requirements:

• 5 years of professional experience building iOS applications that are consumerfacing.
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring engineers leading technical projects and fostering positive team dynamics.
• Deep technical expertise in Swift SwiftUI UIKit and RESTful API integration.
• Familiarity with modern cloud architectures (AWS or Azure) continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions Azure DevOps).
• Proven experience working within collaborative crossfunctional teams emphasizing outcomes over outputs.
• Exceptional communication skills transparency in decisionmaking and commitment to clear frequent communication across teams.
