Job Title: Photo Assistant and Stylist
Department: Creative
Reports to:Creative Operations Manager
Hours Available:Parttime or Fulltime MF 8:30am5:30pm EST (1hour lunch break)
FLSA Class: NonExempt

Salary Range: $50000 $70000(Actual compensation will be determined based on experience location and other factors permitted by law)

Summary:The Photo Assistant/Stylist at Bedgear supports the creative and photography teams by helping execute product and lifestyle photoshoots in alignment with brand guidelines. This role is responsible for preparing and styling sets sourcing props assisting with shoot execution and maintaining an organized wellequipped studio environment. The ideal candidate is detailoriented handson and passionate about visual storytelling and brand aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and breakdown of photoshoots including moving furniture prepping props and staging products.
- Style product and lifestyle scenes according to brand standards ensuring visual consistency across shoots.
- Support photographers during shoots by adjusting lighting holding reflectors managing cables or prepping product.
- Source organize and maintain studio props linens and accessories in coordination with the creative team.
- Steam and prepare textiles or products for photography to ensure a polished and cameraready presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space equipment and prop storage.
- Assist in building mood boards and sourcing ideas for styling direction when needed.
- Capture and organize behindthescenes photos or assist with basic content capture as directed.
- Coordinate basic errands for prop pickup/dropoff styling materials or studio supplies.
- Work closely with stylists photographers and other team members to ensure efficient shoot execution.

Skills
- Strong sense of style color and composition.
- Knowledge of home dcor textiles and styling techniques.
- Handson proactive approach with the ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with basic photography studio equipment and lighting preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Positive teamoriented attitude with a willingness to pitch in across tasks.
- Ability to lift and move props and furniture safely.
- Interest in interior design product photography or home/lifestyle branding.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
- English proficient (reading writing speaking comprehension)
- Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree in Design Photography or a related field preferred.
- 12 years of experience in a photography studio retail visual merchandising styling or creative support role.
- Prior experience on commercial photo or video shoots is a plus.
