Job Description

Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant will provide support to the Corporate HR team which offers strategic partnership to the firms business professional population. The HR Assistant will manage daily tasks related to onboarding activities new hire orientation departures timesheets and other related duties. Additionally the HR Assistant will provide exceptional customer service to ensure that employee inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately. This role is essential in carrying out duties that support the processes procedures and programs for corporate business professionals located in Chicago and other U.S. offices as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute forms to process data on new hires nonemployees interns terminations position and status changes salary leave of absences etc.
  • Create job requisitions and manage activity of new hires in the Applicant Tracking System. This includes but is not limited to sending and monitoring the completion of onboarding paperwork and completing new hire forms to get them entered into PeopleSoft.
  • Assist in the preparation and planning of new hire orientation. Coordinate services between teams as needed.
  • Oversees the approval and onboarding of all external consultants joining the corporate organizations.
  • Review and process timesheets in the Time and Attendance System on a biweekly basis prior to payroll running.
  • Prepare departure folders and complete tasks for exit interviews including scheduling of rooms and creating exit summary outlines.
  • Monitor the corporate Human Resources inbox on a daily basis and funnel emails to the appropriate team member. Respond to emails on new hires background checks and other miscellanous items.
  • Assist in all administrative duties related to the annual performance management process.
  • Answer general employee questions.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors including but not limited to the relevant market skills experience and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section.
