Champion ChevroletGMCis seeking a detailoriented organized and proactive Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing all aspects of vehicle titles and registration paperwork. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and accurate transactions for both customers and the dealership.

Title and Registration Processing:
Prepare and process vehicle title and registration documents for new and used car sales.
Ensure that all title work is completed accurately and in compliance with state laws and dealership policies.
Verify the accuracy of all title and registration paperwork.
Document Management:
Maintain and update the dealerships title records ensuring all titles are properly filed and accessible.
Handle titles and lien releases for tradeins financing and vehicle sales.
Communication with State Agencies:
Work with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and other state agencies to resolve any title issues or discrepancies.
Follow up on pending title applications and ensure timely processing.
Customer Support:
Provide excellent customer service to buyers and sellers answering questions about vehicle titles registration and other related processes.
Assist customers with title transfers registration renewals and other related tasks.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all documents are in compliance with state and federal laws including lien information tax calculations and title releases.
Prepare process and track all required paperwork for vehicle financing including title and lien information.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Assist with other administrative and clerical tasks as needed by the dealerships management team.
Experience:
Previous experience in automotive title processing DMV paperwork or related fields preferred.
Knowledge of state and federal title laws and regulations is a plus.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management software (experience with CDK Dealertrack or similar systems is a plus.)
Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer station.
Fastpaced dealership office environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
