Job Description

Position Overview:Newport School District is seeking an enthusiastic and creative 3rd Grade Teacher to lead a developmentally appropriate summer program designed to support rising and current 4th and 5thgrade students. The ideal candidate will create a safe engaging and nurturing environment that promotes early literacy numeracy and socialemotional learning through handson activities playbased instruction and thematic learning :Plan and implement instruction in literacy numeracyand socialemotional developmentFoster a positive inclusive and supportive classroom environmentCollaborate with support staff to manage daily routines and student needsMonitor and assess student participation and progressCommunicate effectively with families and program coordinatorsEnsure student safety and wellbeing at all timesQualifications:Valid NH teaching certification in Elementary EducationExperience teaching or working with childrenStrong understanding of childhood development and instructional strategiesExcellent classroom management and organizational skillsCreativity flexibility and a passion for early learnersCPR/First Aid certification preferred
