Job Description

POSITION: Maritime Attorney
LOCATION: Miami FL
WORK TYPE: FULLTIME ONSITE

Our client a highly respected law firm based in Miami is seeking a seasoned Maritime and Admiralty Attorney with 5 years of experience to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal professional with strong industry relationships or a portable book of business to step into a leadership role. The firm has successfully represented individuals businesses professionals insurance carriers selfinsureds governmental entities brokers underwriters agents and insureds since 1970.

The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload lead a team of attorneys and staff and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. Compensation is highly competitive and aligned with experience and business development potential.

Please note: This client will consider relocating a qualified candidate from anywhere in Florida but you MUST currently be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a full caseload of maritime and admiralty matters
  • Provide expert legal counsel to clients including selfinsured corporations insurance carriers and government entities
  • Lead mentor and support a team of junior attorneys and staff
  • Play an active role in client development and contribute to firmwide business growth strategies

Requirements:

  • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years of maritime and/or admiralty law experience
  • Proven ability to independently manage a docket of cases
  • Established industry contacts and/or a portable book of business
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
