Job Description

Sioux Falls Christian is seeking a K8 Special Education teacher. This individual will be responsible for assisting students with unique learning needs. This is an K8 learning center position which will include planning and teaching reading and math for diverse learners managing 504 plans communicating with parents teachers and educational individual would partner with students other Learning Center staff and families to meet kids where they are academically spiritually and emotionally. Patience and compassion are a must but the right individual will also be able to be firm and creative as needed. This position will start in August 2025. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:*Planning and teaching math and language arts classes for diverse learners *Facilitating small group supported study halls*Create update and manage 504 Plans*Coordinate and lead annual 504 Meetings*Lead staff in the implementation of 504 Plans*Collaborate with teachers to create study materials alternate assignments and other supplementary materials that support diverse learners*Direct and support Educational Assistants*Help in creating schedules for students and Educational Assistants*Be the point person for parent communicationApplication materials can be found below by clicking Apply for This Job.
