You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Adoption/Payment Product Owner (PO) that focuses on payments and eligibility is a critical complex role that will provide advanced knowledge in Case management Adoption and Eligibility related processes and provide decisionmaking to drive and support discovery development and prioritization for the Adoption/Payment module (product). This Adoption/Payment module has an extensive stakeholder community has significant importance to state departments beyond MDHHS and is the first increment of the new CCWIS system which is a substantial investment of the State.
The PO is an essential leadership role for the product team required to engage in multiple aspects of the design development and implementation processes including daily agile scrum team tasks such as User Story development establishing acceptance criteria and the prioritization of the product backlog. The PO is to assure that the product meets the business needs and they will have accountability in the success or failure of the overall product. The PO is expected to gain and maintain an indepth understanding of the Adoption/Payment product backlog to make decisions to prioritize the backlog on an ongoing basis.
The (CCWIS) Executive Committee along with the Director will provide the vision for the product and will empower the PO to make independent decisions to implement that vision. In addition to the executive vision guidance and their own business knowledge the PO must weigh the input and opinions of multiple other internal and external stakeholders. The PO must actively and consistently engage with other system and business owners and with existing MiSACWIS support resources. This individual should have at least three years working on MiSACWIS/CCWIS team.Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major

Four years of professional experience including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.

The physical location of this position is 235 S. Grand Ave Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
