Are you an experienced bus driver with a valid CDL P & S endorsement looking for a rewarding seasonal opportunity Our camp is seeking a caring driver who likes to work with kids to join our team as a Bus Driver. In this role youll conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections maintain accurate records and participate in training sessions and meetings. Safely transport campers to and from various destinations and occasionally run field trips with a wait and return service.

Drives bus safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with volunteers members or program participants and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Creates a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.
Promotes safety at all times by keeping first aid supplies fully stocked.
Ensures that bus rules are announced and followed.
Completes thorough beforeandafter trip checks each day and records all information such as gas level mileage and maintenance on designated forms.
Cleans out bus each day
Communicates regularly with other staff members and supervisor. Complete mandatory staff trainings (in person and online) Complete Staff Skills Verification prior to camp.
Follow YMCA policies and procedures including but not limited to child abuse prevention and situations warranting discipline. Be prepared for first aid and medical emergencies as described in the Camp Training Manual.
Adhere to policies related to boundaries with youth. Complete required abuse risk management training. Follow mandated abuse reporting procedures including reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
