Our Community Education team empowers young people with essential life skills to develop confident young New Zealanders who care for the health and well-being of themselves and their communities. As a Community Educator youll visit schools and early childhood centres across the Wellington region delivering engaging high-energy sessions that inspire tamariki to look after themselves and others.
This is a fixed term parental leave cover through to 27 March 2026.
The St John in Schools programme provides learning experiences for pre-school through to high-school aged tamariki to empower them to act in an emergency. With curricula already designed your role is to bring our programme to life! Youll create an engaging learning environment adapting your approach to different age groups and learning styles.

Were looking for someone who:
A basic knowledge of Te Reo Mori is highly desirable but not essential.
