This role is responsible for supporting Community Retail and Long Term Care (CRLTC) business segment financial planning and management reporting processes consolidating business unit results and performing financial analysis of business operations.
Responsibilities
Prepares monthly estimates annual budgets and longterm financial plans including related summary commentary and analysis
Assist in preparation of monthly reporting package and other business presentations as required; prepare ad hoc reports as needed
Maintain effective communication process with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure that financial plans and monthly/quarterly analyses are accurate complete and timely
Develop coordinate and prepare operating expense plans and estimates
Develop coordinate and prepare balance sheet and free cashflow forecast
Assist with the month end close and allocation processes
Analyze operating income components and report significant variances
Prepare reports on key business drivers and trends
Strive for continuous process improvement in assigned areas
Generate ad hoc analysis reports as needed
Perform related duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience
Fouryear Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA or CPA preferred. In some business units may require broad training in fields such as business administration accountancy sales marketing computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a fouryear bachelors degree program. Requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong understanding of financial processes and systems
Robust knowledge of data analysis data mining tools including data warehouse applications SAP Hyperion Essbase MS Access MS Excel SQL and other query and reporting tools
Strong knowledge of profitability analysis
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to establish good relationships; drives long lasting change across functional boundaries; ability to work with all levels within the organization
Strong business acumen in the areas of economics and finance; understands operational impacts on financial processes
Understanding of businesses goals and objectives to affect financial oversight in protecting the companys assets
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
