What we are looking for:

We are seeking a hybrid Business Development Coordinator Senior Designer to serve as a critical connector between inbound client inquiries and OPTOs designled sales process. This unique role combines earlystage client engagement lead qualification and account development with a strong foundation in retail design. Youll serve as a first point of contact for prospectsguiding them through discovery and qualifying opportunitieswhile supporting the design team in converting leads into lasting client relationships.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong communication skills design knowledge and a strategic mindset who thrives in a fastpaced collaborative environment and wants to grow within a vertically integrated clientfocused company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls and website inquiries
  • Qualify and nurture inbound leads; determine project viability and client needs
  • Guide prospects through early discovery to a point of handoff to the design sales team
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and lead activity in Salesforce (or similar CRM
  • Prepare and send tailored followup communications and materials
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure smooth wellinformed transitions of warm leads
  • Track inquiry progress and assist in reporting on lead activity and conversion trends
  • Coordinate showroom visits lunch & learns and sample/collateral requests
  • Provide support for sales and marketing campaigns tracking ROI and engagement
  • Travel as required for industry events client meetings and trade shows

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Interior Design Marketing Business or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in retail design business development customer service or sales support
  • Familiarity with retail fixture systems and retail design environments
  • Proficient in CRM platforms such as Salesforce; capable of managing clean and accurate data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong followthrough
  • Excellent time management and multitasking ability in a fastpaced deadlinedriven setting
  • Able to work independently while effectively collaborating across departments
  • Careerminded with a desire to grow within a design and salesfocused company

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Interest in the retail industry and knowledge of retail merchandising principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suit
  • Previous experience coordinating with clients vendors or internal creative teams
  • Exposure to trade shows or industry networking events

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

This position is based in an office environment. The role involves sitting and standing at a desk frequent inperson and phone communication and the regular use of standard office equipment including phones and computers.
