Virtual School Development Officer for Arts Culture Sports and Therapeutic Services

Permanent

Grade

Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint a Virtual School Development Officer for Arts Culture Sports and Therapeutic Services. The work does involve travel to events and venues across the city and will require some evening and weekend work.

All about the role

You will be joining us as part of an exciting period of change and development as our service is growing into a new structure and roles. Key areas of responsibility are:

  1. To develop the Birmingham Virtual Schools centralised offer for children in care in the areas of arts music sports cultural capital.
  2. work in partnership with the Trust to use the arts music sport and therapeutic services to develop the confidence engagement self esteem and emotional and mental health of Birminghams Children
  3. On behalf of Birmingham Virtual School plan coordinate ensure delivery and evaluation of all the arts cultural activities and sporting events/activities planned through the newly formed charity the West Midlands Virtual School CiC Foundation.
  4. To work in partnership with other commissioned agencies such as The Rep and Birmingham Music Service to provide an Arts and Music offer for Birminghams Children in Care within term time; and through school holidays evenings and weekends
