Senior Cloud Engineer (migration to cloud) Onsite (Atlanta USA).
Location: Atlanta USA. This position requires onsite presence. Only candidates who are currently residing in the Atlanta area will be considered. Recruitment process includes presential interviews in Atlanta as well.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Cloud Engineer with a specialty in cloud migration to join our growing team in Atlanta. This onsite position is central to facilitating our transition to cloud environments ensuring seamless integration and robust infrastructure. Your expertise will drive innovative strategies to elevate our cloud operations and support our business continuity efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute cloud migration projects ensuring minimal disruption and maximized efficiency.
- Design develop and maintain scalable secure and costeffective cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives.
- Implement best practices for cloud architecture to optimize performance and reliability.
- Conduct systems architecture reviews and recommend improvements to existing processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote cloudfirst strategies within the team.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Skills Required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields with a focus on cloud migration.
- Expertise in cloud service providers such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficient with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform CloudFormation or Ansible.
- Strong understanding of containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills adept at working collaboratively in team settings.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate complex cloud concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and legacy system integration.
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
- Knowledge of security compliance in cloud environments.
- Ability to design scalable solutions that support high availability and disaster recovery.
