Gastroenterologist Surgeon (MCh DNB)
Location: Kadi Gujarat
Overview
The role of a Gastroenterologist Surgeon is vital in delivering specialized surgical care for conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract. As a key member of the medical team at our facility in Kadi Gujarat the Gastroenterologist Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders through both surgical and nonsurgical means. This position not only demands exceptional surgical skills and knowledge of the latest technological advancements but also a compassionate approach towards patient care. The surgeon will work closely with nurses anesthetists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Furthermore this role will involve active participation in research and the implementation of innovative treatment methods enhancing the overall quality of care provided. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership abilities outstanding communication skills and a commitment to continuing medical education thereby contributing positively to our mission of excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient history reviews and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
- Perform gastroenterological surgeries such as resections endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care.
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery.
- Participate in regular clinical rounds to monitor patient progress.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Stay current on advancements in gastroenterology and surgical practices.
- Engage in continuous medical education and training.
- Participate in research activities and publish findings in medical journals.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to improve surgical protocols and processes.
- Handle emergencies and unexpected complications efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Mentor and train junior surgical staff and medical students.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MCh or DNB).
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology or Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a surgical environment.
- Proven expertise in performing complex gastrointestinal surgeries.
- Strong grasp of medical software and electronic health records.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to patientcentered care.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Membership in relevant medical associations and societies.
- Experience in clinical research is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in community health programs.
- Valid medical license to practice in Gujarat.
- Good command of spoken and written English and local languages.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of healthcare professionals.
