The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Service Departments daily operations driving productivity and profitability within the department. Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the daily activities of the Service Department and delegate tasks as needed.
  • Prioritize services and distribute work between technicians ensuring customers receive prompt and efficient service.
  • Provide leadership coaching and mentorship to department staff to achieve dealership goals and support your teams professional development.
  • Oversee the warranty process ensuring compliance with manufacturer policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that every customer has a positive service experience by ensuring they are greeted promptly and receive fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns with care and professionalism.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of department staff and monitor team performance.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers dealership staff and factory representatives.
  • Maintain a safe clean and operational work environment.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing service operations at a new car dealership is required. Stellantis experience is preferred.
  • 35 years of automotive technical experience/knowledge.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership and interpersonal skills to ensure efficient daytoday operations in a highvolume service department.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates commitment to customer satisfaction with the ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Uses sound judgement and reasoning to solve problems and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and delegation skills to ensure daily objectives are achieved.
  • Employs critical thinking and data analysis to make strategic business decisions.
  • Approachable with a friendly demeanor to encourage team collaboration.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a preemployment background check and drug screening.

Hours and Work Environment:

The Service Department is open Monday Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 7am to 5pm. This role requires open availability during the departments business hours. Our Service Department team enjoys a stateoftheart climatecontrolled shop and office environment.
