Bridges Afterschool and Summer ProgramJob Title: Summer Program Assistant CoordinatorLocation: Northfield Elementary SchoolJob type: Full Time (during the duration of the summer program) Part Time (prior to theprogram beginning)Expected hours per week: 37.5Schedule: MondayFridayJob Summary:Bridges is seeking a reliable organized and energetic Assistant Coordinator to help lead ourSummer Program at Northfield Elementary School. The program serves 7080 students dailyfor five weeks during July and August. The Assistant Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuringsmooth daytoday operations by managing attendance supporting classroom and enrichmentactivities addressing student behaviors and helping facilitate a safe engaging environment forcampers and staff Responsibilities: Assist with maintaining accurate records for students/campers prior to the programbeginning. Assist the Program Coordinator in organizing and delivering staff orientation and trainingprior to the program beginning. Build meaningful relationships with both campers and staff serving as a positive rolemodel. Support the safety and wellbeing of all campers at all times. Mediate interpersonal conflicts among campers and/or staff. Handle highintensity situations appropriately in a fastpaced environment. Take and maintain accurate attendance; follow up with families of absent students. Actively participate in campwide programming including events hikes swimming andgroup activities. Monitor classroom staffing and fill in where needed to ensure coverage. Support student behavior using a defined behavior response matrix. Be wellversed in all emergency procedures and follow them as needed. Ensure proper use and care of school facilities and equipment. Collaborate closely with the Program Coordinator on shared responsibilities. Take on additional responsibilities as assigned. Serve as acting Program Coordinator in their : Must be at least 21 years of age Experience in education or childcare required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to commit to a regular schedule and work effectively under pressure. Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment. Ability to work as part of a team with a flexible and supportive : Professional development opportunities. Ability to bring schoolaged children (1st5th grade) to the summer program.
