Job Description
Location: Prescott School District
Position Type: FullTime 12Month Contract
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Reports To: Superintendent
Position Overview:
Prescott School District is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance repair and
operational readiness of all district facilities and grounds. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a
safe clean and efficient learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance custodial and groundskeeping staff across all district properties.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for HVAC plumbing electrical and other building systems.
- Oversee facility repairs renovations and contracted services; ensure compliance with all safety building and environmental codes.
- Manage departmental budgets track expenditures and maintain accurate records of work orders and inspections.
- Collaborate with district leadership to prioritize facility needs and support capital improvement projects.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain effective communication with principals staff vendors and community partners.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities or maintenance supervision preferably in a schoolor public institution setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and facility management best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
- Valid drivers license and ability to respond to afterhours emergencies.
- Must pass all required background checks
