Advanced Math and Science Academy a demanding college preparatory charter school is seeking to hire committed skilled and inspiring educators. The Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School is currently accepting applications for a full time position as a Middle School Math Teacher for theschool year. Teachers and Staff Members at Advanced Math and Science Academy will: Focus intensely on increasing academic achievement content knowledge and character growth for all students. Create inspiring challenging and effective teaching and learning experiences for all our students. Be committed to serving all students including English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities in the context of the regular education classroom using a variety of inclusion models. Contribute to a strong and supportive professional learning Responsibilities:The middle school Math teacher will: Teach topics of Algebra 1 Algebra II and Geometry to Middle School students. Work collaboratively with other staff to implement curriculum and build school culture across the school. Participate in our allschool summer professional development of an additional week (or equivalent time) prior to the start of the school year. Work with administration to uphold and support all school policies and procedures. Other responsibilities as assigned in helping to maintain a safe and orderly school environment (i.e. traffic and/or lunch duties.) Qualifications: Strong commitment to Advanced Math and Science Academys mission values and educational model. Ability to collaborate work well under pressure and maintain a sense of humor and humility. Bachelors degree in Math education or relevant academic field is required. Special education experience and a Masters degree is a plus. Experience with Mathcounts and other middle school competitions is a plus Experience in teaching math courses required. Certification in Math (grades 58) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education by August 2026 or Communication and Literacy and applicable subject MTEL within one year of employment. Current authorization to work in the United States. Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
