POSITION SUMMARY:
To performa variety of clerical secretarial and other administrative functions required for the operation of school administration in order to deliverFramingham Public Schoolshigh expectations for achievement equal access to high levels of instruction the achievement of academic proficiency for all students and the closing of the achievement gap among subgroups within the schools.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and at least oneyear related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior successful experience working in a school office setting preferred.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Employees work in an office with moderate noise levels (such as computers and printers) and controlled temperature conditions. The position requires frequent sitting standing walking and to reach with hands and arms occasionally. Ability to talk and to hear continuously. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds periodically. Finger dexterity is required continuously for the normal work shift such as for typing filing dialing the phone etc. Some travel between schools may be necessary so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Drivers license is required; the employee shall be compensated per the contract with a travel allowance as the applicable rate per the Framingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract.
REPORTS TO:
Building Principal (and/or Director if any). The performance of this job will be evaluated as per the Framingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) CLASSIFICATION:
This position is classified as NonExempt (Hourly).
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Covered under Framingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract. Please note that the District reserves the right to transfer all personnel among buildings on an as needed basis to serve the best interests of all students as long as such transfer is in compliance with the Framingham Teachers Association Secretaries (Unit S) Contract.
Ten (10) Month Position 202 days per year
