Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our Patient Access team!
This is a Part Time 20Hour benefits eligible position.
The Patient Access Specialist reporting directly to the Patient Access Manager is responsible for overseeing patient admitting and registration processes in compliance with hospital and departmental policies. This role includes managing and maintaining the accuracy of the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) particularly during system downtimes or noncoverage hours in the Health Information Management (HIM) department. Key tasks involve identifying and resolving duplicate medical record numbers merging and unmerging patient records as needed and coordinating with various areas of the healthcare system to ensure seamless operations.
