Overview of the role

We are seeking a Junior IT Systems Administrator to support the daytoday operations and technology needs across our organization. This role is a critical part of our internal IT team providing handson assistance with hardware software network and system support. You will work closely with internal users to troubleshoot issues implement technology solutions and contribute to ongoing improvements in our IT environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problemsolver with a strong interest in learning emerging technologies and improving internal systems. This is a hybrid role based in our Austin office offering the opportunity to grow your skills while supporting a dynamic highgrowth tech company.

As part of your responsibilities youll support system administration help desk operations and technology deployments while learning how to manage and integrate new tools into a secure and scalable IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment monitoring maintenance development upgrade and support of all IT systems including servers PCs operating systems telephones and software applications.
  • Provide support during systems upgrades installations conversions and file maintenance.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best practices including providing written protocols to endusers.
  • Support servers security solutions network hardware and equipment.
  • Support cloud telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Investigate analyze and resolve complex hardware problems on company computer systems; perform advanced hardware repairs maintenance technical assistance and support on a range of PC computers/Mac and peripherals.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for escalated software and hardware problems. Coordinate vendor assistance when required.
  • Install and maintain desktop/laptop computer hardware including computers monitors printers
  • Respond to afterhours system problem calls.
  • Provide technical assistance support and troubleshooting in the resolution of system communications failures.
  • Assist with security team in compliance with company security policies and procedures.
  • Assist with asset management across the organization
  • Manage and support the Onboarding and Offboarding workflows for the organization and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Systems IT Computer Science or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience in IT systems administration directly related to the responsibilities of the role.
  • 3 years supportingMicrosoft 365 environments (SharePoint Exchange Online OneDrive Teams).
  • 3 years working with Active Directory Windows OS/Server macOS networking and VPN technology.
  • 3 years providingenduser support for laptops backups endpoint protection and general IT support.
  • Proven ability todiagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Experience installing and configuringcomputer systems hardware and peripherals.
  • Familiarity withAzure and Intune/Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience withVMware/HyperV Cisco Meraki/ASA and managing firewall rules.
  • Handson experience withSAN/NAS systems and PowerShell/scripting.
  • Knowledge ofJira Service Management and ITIL frameworks.
  • Strongverbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge ofcustomer service standards and procedures.
  • Collaborative and adaptable with the ability to work in adiverse team environment.
  • Selfstarter who canwork independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure and Intune/Endpoint Manager
  • Experience in managing a VMWare/HyperV environments
  • Experience with Jira Service Management
  • Experience with ITIL
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki or ASA technologies
  • Experience with firewalls and creating firewall rules
  • Experience with SAN and NAS systems
  • Experience with PowerShell and scripting
