Job Description

DineAmic Hospitality is seeking a detailoriented solutionsfocused Senior Accountant who will with guidance and mentoring from Management oversee daytoday accounting functions of a diverse group of entities. Highlevel responsibilities include but are not limited to: general ledger accounting AP AR treasury management payroll and period end close.

The Senior Accountant works directly with the Accounting Manager and reports to the Director of Finance & Accounting. Our ideal candidate is organized pays strong attention to detail will be able to carry out tasks both autonomously and collaboratively; has a minimum of 2 years of experience; and has a desire to grow and learn in a fastpaced environment. Familiarity with accounting in customerfacing industries such as Hospitality and Tourism preferred but not required.


GENERAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the daytoday monthly and yearend operations of the Finance Department including financial statement presentation and analysis
  • Assists with the recording and reconciliation of revenue and receivables
  • Assists in the creation maintenance and reconciliation of store level and corporate bank accounts
  • Records and processes intercompany expense allocations monthly accruals amortization of prepaid expenses fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and/or reclassification journal entries if necessary
  • Review of company books to ensure timely and accurate processing and recording all accounts payable transactions and ensures that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
  • Review general ledger (G/L) activity to ensure all activity is properly recorded and reflected in G/L
  • Prepares and analyzes financial statement workpapers to verify accuracy of bookkeeping for the period
  • Assists in the timely filing and payment of State and Local tax obligations; supports preparation of annual tax documents
  • Contributing to monthly QTD and YTD financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets income statements cashflow statements and budgettoactual variance analyses
  • Supports preparation of annual tax documents
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff within the department and assists in the training and retention of skilled accounting staff

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • C.P.A. certification preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in private accounting
  • Multiunit restaurant/hospitality or retail accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency with accounting and reporting systems and tools such as MS Excel and Restaurant365
  • Working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports
  • Ability to work with all levels of management including executive leadership team and restaurant operations
  • Strong organizational problemsolving and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities and workflows
  • Versatility flexibility and a willingness to work in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment with evolving processesand the highest commitment to integrity

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment including keyboards phones and filing systems.
  • Occasional standing walking bending and reaching to access files supplies and office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry office materials and small packages up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to read documents enter data and communicate effectively in person over the phone and via email.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment including computers printers copiers and phones.
