You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are currently seeking a Manager of Systems Engineering Azure Infrastructure to join our Engineering organization and support a recently acquired team and product in Manchester England. This role is available to candidates in Canada in either the Eastern or Atlantic time zones excluding Quebec. If you are local to one of our hubs (Toronto for this role) you will be expected to be in the office a minimum of twice per week on one of our Anchor Days.

For our Manager of Systems Engineering this means someone who can collaborate across the engineering organization to empower product development with the right systems and services to unlock their velocity foster discussions about core efficiency or performance problems in our applications and ultimately put their hands on the keyboard to lead from the front and help diagnose and solve problems in production. The successful candidate will have a mandate to secure and maintain the staging and production Azure environments for an exciting acquisition at Clio.
A day in the life might look like:
Defining the vision and supporting your team in designing and implementing the architecture to power new global capabilities for Clios customers.
Authoring reviewing and shipping infrastructureascode in Clios cloud environments.
Enabling product teams to selfserve issues and reduce the timetoresolve for production issues by smoothing friction points through automation and creating observability tooling.
Directly supervise mentor and collaborate with your individual contributors and build crossfunctional relationships across the engineering organization.
Partner with Clios product development teams to support them in ensuring all of Clios products meet a high bar for security performance reliability availability and change velocity.
Work closely with the recruiting/people team to actively recruit and hire top talent to support Clios ambitious growth plans for our infrastructure and development teams.
You may be a fit for this role if:
Demonstrated success in people leadership in systems engineering particularly in largescale SaaS products.
A strong background in managing Microsoft cloudbased technology solutions with infrastructure as code tooling like Pulumi.
Experience scripting with Powershell including the use of Azure CLI.
Competency in at least one software development language.
Diverse base of knowledge that allows you to help your team solve complex technical problems.
The ability to describe successful projects you worked on as well as a collection of lessons learned from failed projects.
Demonstrated ability to hire the best and brightest engineers in a fastpaced job marketand to coach develop and retain engineering talent; You are equally energized by both your own technical work as well as contributing to the career growth of your team.
You have strong opinions that are weakly held and foster that same attitude in others.
You believe in providing honest actionable feedback to your team and encourage your team to reciprocate.
You devise roadmaps to guide your team but arent beholden to them you easily adapt to a constantly changing world.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
