Job Summary
The Administrative Coordinator performs a multifaceted dynamic and key administrative role supporting the Office Manager in fulfilling the administrative functions for the Ontario Distribution Centre.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide comprehensive daily administrative support to the Office Manager at the Ontario Distribution Centre including scheduling correspondence and reception duties.
- Serve as the primary contact for visitors and phone inquiries offering exceptional service especially to Corporate Volunteers.
- Maintain calendars organize meetings (including virtual setup and minutes) and support documentation such as reports flyers and presentations.
- Monitor office supplies manage mail logistics and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
- Support onboarding processes for new employees and volunteers including site tours form management and skills testing coordination.
- Manage and update internal HR systems (Bright HR) and perform timekeeping duties in Workday when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (OHSA) and internal safety policies reporting concerns as needed.
- Facilitate health and safety orientation for new staff and volunteers promoting adherence to emergency procedures and safe work practices.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Completion of a formal postsecondary program of two academic years in a related field preferably in Business Administration.
- Valid Ontario Class G Drivers license own vehicle and insurance required.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior related secretarial administration and customer service; experience dealing with office equipment and tools.
- Experience in clerical duties and customer service.
- Some prior related experience using cloudbased software specifically Workday would be a definite asset.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills reliability and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Leads by example with a positive attitude flexibility and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Upholds high standards of integrity confidentiality and sound judgment while modeling the values of The Salvation Army.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new technologies and processes.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal customer service and communication skills using tact and diplomacy in interactions.
- Effectively manages tasks in a teamoriented environment while handling interruptions and public interactions professionally.
- Complies with all organizational policies safety standards and background check requirements.
- Actively supports and understands the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $42111.79 to $52639.73 with a maximum of $63167.68.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
