TO: ALL TEACHING AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL BROCKTON PUBLIC SCHOOLSFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent for Human ResourcesSUBJECT:Steering Committee Members for Innovative Academic Restructuring of Edison Academy (Up to 5 Participants)The purpose of this committee is to bring together a small team that is passionate about educational equity alternative pathways to graduation and innovative curriculum design to develop academic programming for the diverse needs of Edison Evening Academy scholars. Were seeking dynamic diverse and strategic thinkers to join a Steering Committee tasked with reimagining and restructuring the academic programming at our Alternative Diploma Evening High the School:Our evening high school provides a nontraditional flexible path to graduation for scholars who thrive outside the standard school systemwhether due to work caregiving responsibilities prior interruptions in education or unique learning needs. Were ready to revamp our academic model to better serve our scholarsand we need your leadership and expertise. About the Role:As a Steering Committee Member you will:Evaluate current academic structures schedules and course and benchmark innovative alternative school stakeholders including scholars staff families and community partners. Design recommendations for a futurefacing inclusive and responsive academic an implementation roadmap for the proposed Candidates Will Have:Knowledge about Edison Evening Academy or/and alternative setting programming and scholar population Experience in K12 education curriculum design alternative education or school commitment to equity scholarcentered learning and flexible pathways to collaboration analysis and communication skills.A creative mindset and a practical understanding of implementation in public school Commitment:Monthly inperson or virtual meetings (evening hours to reflect the schools programming).Periodic working groups and stakeholder time: 46 hours per week for 6 weeksCompensation: Professional Development Local FundsStipend: $1100
