Under the general direction of the Director of Finance responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Districts budget and participating in complex sensitive and detailed analytical work in the areas of budgets finances program operation and regulatory and administrative policy. Provides internal customer service by assisting budget managers in complex analysis operational problemsolving and budget preparation/monitoring. Provide continual monitoring and comparison of budget to actual expenditures and recommend actions to remediate deviations and remain within budget. Performs other positionrelated duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
- Assist in the preparation of school budgets across several funds and provide analyses that compares budget to actual revenues and expenditures; explain or make recommendations to address deviations. This is an ongoing project that begins with annual planning and continues with constant revisions. This requires flexibility and the ability to explain complex financial concepts in an easy to understand way.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures to follow an outcomes based budgeting method.
- Recommend solutions regarding budgetary issues to budget managers AdTeam members and Board of Education.
- Import and post budget transactions.
- Excel at running multiple software programs for reporting and analysis.
- Prepare cost analysis and documents for financial planning negotiations staff community meetings and website publication.
- Create a budget document that effectively communicates the districts financial plan.
- Perform budgetary analysis and ensure positions are budgeted and funded correctly. Assist in the monitoring of system data for accuracy as it relates to payroll expenses the general ledger and staffing reports.
- Train staff on financial related items (input of data policy interpretation resource allocation and interpretation of financial information).
- Interpret/implement Board of Education policy Colorado Department of Education state and federal guidelines.
- Monitor spending and funds to assure compliance with Board policy and state law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 23 years experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- Bachelors degree in business management accounting or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Valid Colorado drivers license.
- Must have previous experience in accounting financial analysis mathematics purchasing procedures and budgeting.
- Requires effective oral communication writing composition interpersonal communication phone etiquette and advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook) at time of hire.
- Must have strong public relations and problem solving skills
