Job Description

IT Manager Job DescriptionSummary: The role of IT Manager is a vital role at ACCEPT Education Collaborative responsible for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of every piece of technology as well as providing enduser support. The IT Manager ensures the longterm success of staff and students by providing guidance and leadership on the best practices of technology use both in the classroom and as an administrator. The IT Manager also ensures the Collaborative is compliant with data privacy laws and maintains strong cybersecurity protocols. This role is highly dynamic and requires the ability to independently analyse plan and respond quickly to any issue that may :Administer and configure Google Workspace Microsoft Entra/Intune/365 Active Directory Sophos MDR Zoom Phone NinjaOne to support a fleet of 300 student and staff devices and accountsPerform scheduling and maintenance of courses reports and customizations in Powerschool SISPowerschool Special Programs database maintenance and security auditsConfigure and maintain Clever sync with Powerschool and linked software vendorsProcure and maintain all technology equipment at the CollaborativeProvide helpdesk support for all end usersConfigure and monitor network system and securityDevelop and implement annual and multiyear equipment life cycle plans and budget for these plans accordinglyEstablish and maintain professional relationships with our Managed Service Provider and vendorsEnsure data privacy compliance with all vendorsDevelop technologyfocused policies for staff and studentsAssist in delivering technologyfocused Professional Development for all staff as neededResearch and advise on emerging technologies and their use at the CollaborativeProvide support for MCAS and WIDA state testingTravel a minimum of once per week to offsite locations in MedwayQualifications:BA in Computer Science or similar field5 year of experience with educational technology in a K12 environmentKnowledge of SQL Javascript and Powershell scripting preferredExperience with Powerschool SIS preferredValid drivers licenseAble to learn new software and systems quicklyExcellent project management troubleshooting diagnostic and organizational skillsAble to clearly explain complex subject matter for all audiencesStrong verbal and written communication skillsComfortable speaking in front of large groupsPerforms well independently is able to work proactively with minimal supervisionMaintains the highest level of professionalism and confidentialityPhysical Demands:This position occasionally requires the ability to walk and stand on tile flooring to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and to bend and twist regularly at the waist knees and work is performed in a typical office environment requiring minimal to light physical effort. This may include everyday discomforts and distractions typical of office settings such as temperature variations proximity to colleagues frequent interruptions and moderate position requires the ability to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment at efficient speed and for lengthy periods of time.
