Job Description
Job Title: IT Audio and Visual Technician
Location: Onsite Boise ID (Extensive statewide travel required)
Duration: Contract
Interview Type: In-person only
Job Summary:
Client is seeking an IT Audio and Visual Technician to provide technical support installation and maintenance of courtroom A/V hardware and software across 44 counties in Idaho. This position is 100% onsite and requires frequent travel (3 weeks/month) with overnight stays. The technician will be responsible for configuring and supporting systems including microphones amplifiers Bi-Amps speakers DTENs desktops and associated networking.
Key Responsibilities:

Install and maintain courtroom A/V equipment and related software

Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and network issues

Train court staff and judges on new systems
-
Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware deployments

Coordinate support with IT teams and court leadership

Ensure compliance with Idaho travel and reimbursement policies
Required Skills:
-
3 years of IT and A/V support experience

Experience with audio systems: Bi-Amps microphones amplifiers speakers

Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10/11

Excellent customer service and communication abilities

Ability and willingness to travel extensively within Idaho

Valid drivers license
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with courtroom A/V systems and For The Record software

Basic networking knowledge (ping trace route wired/wireless)

Familiarity with court operations or justice systems
Additional Requirements:

Must attend in-person interview in Boise

Must pass fingerprint and full background check

Must be local to Boise or willing to relocate; remote not allowed
