This shared position plays a critical role in maintaining special education documentation ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations (including IDEA and Massachusetts Special Education Regulations) and supporting the work of special education program managers and staff. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator collaborative team member and detailoriented professional who thrives in a deadlinedriven Responsibilities:Compliance and DocumentationMonitor and track IEP and evaluation timelines to ensure compliance with all regulatory format and send IEPs meeting notices evaluation consent forms and other compliancerelated documents to families and staff in a timely accurate and secure special education files in accordance with FERPA and IDEA appropriate software platforms (e.g. IEP management systems) to track and manage student records and and CommunicationCoordinate and schedule special education meetings (e.g. IEP meetings reevaluations team meetings) in collaboration with families staff and service as a liaison between program managers related service providers general education staff and families to support communication and meeting and SupportWork closely with program managers other schoolbased secretaries and the district special education office to ensure consistent implementation of special education practices and schoolbased special education budget management including tracking expenses and ordering necessary supplies or Office ManagementProvide daytoday administrative support to program managers including calendar management document preparation and staff confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions maintaining trust and privacy for students and Skills & Qualifications:Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to ability to manage multiple tasks and meet compliancebased proactive and collaborative knowledge of special education processes terminology and compliance requirements working in a public school setting or educational environment is highly with IEP management systems and Student Information Systems (e.g. eSped Frontline & Aspen SEIS PowerSchool) a Google to fostering an inclusive and respectful school culture for all students and Information:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
